Broadening (Zach’s) Horizons

I have always heard that there are regional differences in cooking- but having grown up in the south, I thought nothing of eating red beans and rice, fried okra, quiches, lots of fresh veggies and seafood. But up north, well they don’t eat the same. Apparently.

Two weeks ago, I fried okra, and made Red Beans and Rice. It was Zach’s first time to eat either.

This morning, I baked a quiche. Again, a first.

So yay for Zach for eating my cooking and yay for me for expanding his culinary horizons!
