My journey through life on South Dakota Ranch
A day on the ranch…
Tail hairs on a coming two-year old:

And barb-wire:

Here’s the last of the pretty blossoming tree photos that I took while i was in Texas.

Photos from my trip to the Texas Hill Country over Easter Weekend. I’m going to let them do the talking.
While y’all look at my springy pictures today, I’ll be headed to the vet’s office with my new horse. More on that later. I have lots to share actually! And it’s gonna be a busy week for me- Thursday I leave to ride with Buck Brannaman (I’m giddy), today it snowed to add to the mud, and I have so much to do, and not enough time or dry ground. And I’m really. Really. Homesick! Enjoy my spring pics of the budding trees; because when I get home, there won’t be any trees to photograph!!!!

Note the clear Moth in this picture:
Here my selections for this week’s Macro Monday Challenge…
Gumper’s Nose-

By the way- is there anything more velvety soft than the muzzle of a horse? I just love them!
A bud on our Cottonwood Tree:
More buds- on a different tree:
Nora’s withers:
A Cedar Tree:
Enjoy these shots of some hay, a Captain Coward the rooster, Gump’s cocklebur infested forelock and Orange-y the cat.

Here are my picks for this week’s Macro Challenge- these are some previously unpublished photos taken from home. Since it’s been raining nearly non-stop for going on three weeks now, I’m really homesick. I came here to ride, and can’t do that; at least at home while I’d be in the same boat (which by the way, I need) I’d have Zach around! I just heard thunder crack! It can’t rain forever. At some point the sun has to come back out!
Here’s my pictures.

Let’s hope that sunny skies and drier weather are on the way! Have a great Monday, y’all!
Love,
TSDC
