I don’t watch a whole lot of movies, but this weekend, while I was out of town I watched two; Die Hard with a Vengeance (Bruce is a hottie) and I am Legend.

I didn’t understand I am Legend and I have to say I really didn’t like it. It wasn’t scary per say, but it was one of those that is just dark and depressing and makes you tired really. And, spoiler here, so skip over this if you’ve not seen it, he has to kill his own dog. Super Depressing.

I won’t ever watch it again.

This weekend was fun.

I went to Bastrop, TX to visit my friend Stephanie, and drop off Shuttle so she can ride her while I am gone skiing this week. We’ll be at Wolf Creek this week; staying in Pagosa springs!. I’m so excited!

And we put Shuttle on a new feed.

Today I got home to find the neighbor’s barn burnt down with an audience and all sorta fire trucks around. And and and water just bubbling up out of the hill! I think there is a water leak. Anyhow.

I suppose I haven’t really got much to say- though I have plenty to do.

Here’s a brief run-down:

Find someone to feed horses/dogs while my folks are out of town next week.

Unpack from this weekend.
Pack for the ski trip.
Go to the grocery store for olives, club soda, and limes.
Re-set some internet groups so I’m no overwhelmed with email when I get back.
I know there is something else to do, but right now, I don’t remember!

It’s a dark and stormy day outside today. And my life isn’t much brighter at the moment.

Business is S.L.O.W. and my grandmother, who, granted is 93, is in the hospital with kidney failure. They can’t keep an IV in her, b/c her vein keeps collapsing. The doctor says there is a 50/50 chance of recovery. They will either get better or they’ll continue to shut down. Right now, they’re continuing to shut down. There will be additional news within 24 hours. If they get better she’ll get better; if they don’t, then in 3-5 days she’ll go into a coma.

In 5 days I am supposed to be headed to Austin to drop off Shuttle with Steph, so she can be exercised while I’m gone skiing the following week. After that, I’ve ponied up a large amount of money to run in Ardmore at a futurity. So it is literally raining in my life right now. So much going on, and not enough time to see how everything will work out, really and if I miss my futurity, for a funeral, well there are no exceptions for getting that money back. I’m not sure what to do, how to handle it, other than just pray and know that God has it under control.

I suppose I should not be worrying about it right now , seeing as how I don’t have all the facts.

If you all knew where I am in my life right now, you’d see the irony in that. Some of my dearest friends and readers know the gory details, of which I will not bore the rest of you. Just know that for me to see that, today of all days, might be a recipe for something. I’m just not sure what.

I have been in a major funk lately. I’m just uncharacteristically bitchy, grouchy and otherwise unpleasant in areas that I should not be!

I don’t understand it.
