Wednesday, I went to town. I don’t do that often – every three to eight weeks. Yes, I said eight.
I had to take a bull to the sale barn, Avie to the vet to get blood drawn for a pesky, Coggins Test, and I needed to get him two health certificates for some upcoming barrel races.
While I was there I visited the western store in town. I’ve never been there before and have meant to get in there countless times, but I never actually make it.
I may have spent some money on a beautiful, made-in-South-Dakota, by hand, purse. I’ve never owned a bag this gorgeous before, people. And before we go any farther, let me say, that Kelly (of Kelly’s Cowgirl Creations and K bar J Leather) has no idea who I am – I don’t think anyway! I just feel the need to share this amazing find with all of you because I have to support the other artists in the state of South Dakota!
So without further ado, let’s take a look, shall we?
One side is covered in cowhide under the fringe; both ends are done in cowhide. The red handle with dots really sets it off.
The other side is done in red leather. It’s so soft and supple. I just want to hug it. Have you ever wanted to hug a handbag? Please tell me I’m not alone.
This particular bag only has one inside pocket, but rumor has it you can have her sew in a hidden compartment if you’re a cowgirl that likes to pack heat!
Seriously, What is NOT to love about this bag? I’m pretty sure she needs to make me one just like it in black and turquoise. Who thinks that’s a great idea? Raise your hand!
I totally justified the purchase by telling myself that a week from today is my birthday! Plus, we’re headed to Nashville on Saturday for a mini-vacay, so I figured it’d look really cute traveling from bar to bar while I listen to live music, right?
Be sure to go check her out! You can tell her I sent you, but like I said, she’s probably no idea who I am.
Happy Trails and Happy Fringed Handbags!
