A Texas Wedding

Earlier this year, I was asked to photograph a wedding. Not just any wedding though. I was fortunate enough to be asked to photograph the wedding of a beautiful young lady that I’ve been blessed to watch grow up.

So on the 1 of November I headed to College Station, Texas; To Aggie Country if you will to the 7F Lodge. A bonus of this trip was that my friend drove down from the DFW area and assisted. She got some amazing shots! Plus, I got to hang out with her!

To say that the bride is beautiful is an understatement. She is not only gorgeous on the outside, but gorgeous on the inside as well.

And her husband, man. They don’t make many like him.

I’ve known Sydney since she was 14, I think, and to see the woman she has become is just awe-inspiring. She inspires me to do better!

I hope the few photos I’m about to share, fully capture the spirit of the day! And to be honest, this was by far the most fun I’ve had at a wedding to date! Every shot I’ve ever dreamed up was available to me this day! I was like a kid in a candy store!

Using photography to illustrate her stories has created other opportunities -- Jenn’s brand “The South Dakota Cowgirl” has grown to the level of social media “Influencer”. This notoriety has led to work with Duluth Trading Company, Budweiser, Wyoming Tourism, Vice, Circle Z Ranch and Art of the Cowgirl, to name a few. She also serves as a brand ambassador for Woodchuck USA, Arenus Equine Health, Triple Crown Feed and Just Strong fitness apparel. Her photography has been featured by Instagram, Apple, TIME Magazine, The Huffington Post, and Oprah Magazine. Jenn’s work has been published internationally, has been seen in several books and has graced the covers of several magazines.

Jenn became a social media influencer by accident when she started to explore Instagram as a way to share her life on the ranch with folks that don’t get to experience it. It’s grown into an incredible platform that she uses to empower women, create an environment for self improvement and share life on the ranch.

When she’s not working, she loves to drink coffee, play with her naughty border collie named Copper, start ranch colts, and run about the country chasing cans. Her mother still thinks she doesn’t have a “real” job.
