Am I Rich?

May 25, 2007 by Shauna 3 Comments

You get them. We all get them. The email forward that people are too afraid not to send on because you’re promised wealth or good luck or great sex or great relationships or whatever, if you pass it on in 5 minutes to 15 people.

So it made me think do they really work?

I mean, I am blessed. I get to do, everyday of the week, what I love. I may be struggling financially on occasion, but do you have to be loaded, monetarily, to be rich? Because I am loaded with blessings. I have a nice house, albeit small.
I have a truck.
I have my health.
I have a barn full of amazing, well-bred horses.
I have more lesson kids than I can handle.

Ok. Well you get the picture. Do you think that you can be rich, without really being “rich”?

Spread the Love!

You’re right! That was a great post, Jen. I work DAY AND NIGHT more than I ever have before. We got some great new clients at work and I’m just doing too much. Whenever I make great money, it’s only because I’m working too much to have a good time.

You seem very content and happy! I have horse stables near my house, btw. People ride horses past my house all the time and it makes my dogs go crazy. (Old rural area here.) The only thing I do not like is the horse dung stuck all over the road. LOL

Steve- I work.. All the time. I think I am a workaholic. Ask my husband. Since I work at an investment firm during the day and then give lessons and ride in the afternoons, there are days when I leave the house at 7am and don’t get back until 11pm. But I love it.

Someday I will only be training horses. I think that is what keeps me motivated.

Horse poo is much less icky than dog poo. I love that your dogs bark at horses. Happens to me all the time with dogs that are unfamiliar with horses.

Don’t forget to spend that money on things you like- I always say the money isn’t worth it if you don’t have time to do the things you really enjoy!

As you know, I’ve realized what abundance means. It is not “stuff” at all. Small is simple and better, too.

Don’t forward those emails. They are farming your friends and families emails to use for spam.
