I’m headed to Texas this week, to hang out with my dad (and the rest of my family), who celebrates 35 years with the same company on Friday. It’s practically unheard of these days that someone will stay with one company for that long, but Daddy has done just that. He went to work for them right out of college, and has stayed there since.
But since I’ll be missing a branding this weekend to be in Texas with him, I thought I’d share some photos I took at an earlier branding this spring.
Here’s a lovely great niece:
Some pretty horsehair mecate reins on my snaffle bit, hanging from Dino’s saddle.
A really handy neighbor double hocking a calf:
A big pretty dun horse named, “Goose”.
The ground crew has four calves down at once:
Who doesn’t love a good pair of Chinks?

Shootin’ the breeze:
A pretty yellow horse!
A handsome calf!
Looking for the money shot!
My second favorite:

And my favorite from the day:
Kelsey and her dad Zach, aka My Cowboy.
Happy Trails!
