It’s 4:15am. I’ve been up since 3:30. It’s actually nearly time for me to head back to the heifer pen, and take a look at 10T, who, earlier this morning, appeared like she may be having calving trouble.
But first – this week there’s been me, returning from a trip to Texas (to celebrate the end of a 20 year teaching career for my mom), lots of riding, a branding that kept me running (literally), and some gorgeous Spring scenes! Today we also leave for our annual Buck clinic. Which means, if you have read this blog at all, for any length of time, a clinic write up, or three.
There have been morning naps for the boys:
A pretty, blooming, Bunny Ears Prickly Pear cactus, that mom said was sure it knew I was coming. This cactus was mine when I lived in Texas, but since it wouldn’t love this South Dakota climate much, I left it in Texas.
A pretty south dakota sky…
My #mcm. No further explanation needed!
Now I’m gonna go check that heifer. Standby.
