Someday I’ll have my very own work-space.
A functional home office/photography studio. Something sleek, yet rustic; neutral- with the color coming from the pieces I put on the walls.
I decided I’d do a little dreaming, and this is what I came up with for the furnishings:
I’d go with a low-slung couch that could also function as a sleeping space, if need be. I’d put in an armless chair, because it would make photographing groups easy, and with the neutral color and classic chevron pattern, it would look good with a lot of colors. There’d have to be some cowhide in there, so I’d put my favorite color on the floor- a little Salt and Pepper colored hide. I’d warm up the space with a work-table, sideboard, and pretty display shelf in warm-wood tones. And the lamp with both gray and earth-tones would really warm up the space. There would be lots of texture brought in with the throw pillows.
The color would show up in the form of the art on the walls. Here’s what I envision:
The walls would be a pale gray- to help reflect light but not be so stark white you’d feel like you were in a hospital. Color would show up in the prints, a large Scatter Butte Canvas, and a couple other framed pieces. There’d be metal float mounts next to the framed horse, so that I could show my clients the variety of printable pieces available.
What do you think of what I’ve chosen?
A girl can dream, right?
Happy Trails!
