Yesterday morning, after a long, drawn-out, return trip from my weekend in Texas (a completely separate, frustrating post), I awoke to find a pretty sorrel filly walking next to her gorgeous mother. It has been a long time waiting on this little beauty to be born, and I’m sure you’re all glad because it means I’ll be posting baby photos! And we ALL love baby photos, right? This is also the first filly I’ve gotten out of this mare, so needless to say I was ecstatic!
Without further ado, may I introduce, DX NukeThisBombshell, By WDX Nukem out of Fleefoots Dakota Sun (Shuttle). I have to give props to my friend Debbie for the name, Bombshell. The rest, I’ll gladly take credit for. Now, as to what Zach actually calls her, well, that’s still to be determined.
I love how her ears are all still bent and funny looking. After all, she is only about 15 hours old in this photo!
Don’t you just want to hug her? I did already!
These next two photos make me really happy- a handsome cowboy, mugging on a tiny little filly!
Shuttle wasn’t altogether sure what she should think of all this!
It’s hard work growing up. She needed a nap.
Baby whiskers!
I hope you like the photos. I’m sure I’ll share more photos of her soon!
Happy Trails!
