Yes. I’m getting a new computer. It was my Christmas present to myself!
I’ve had this same, old, slow, Toshiba laptop since sometime around 2001, I believe. It’s really seen better days; the CD Drive is broken, the plus/minus key is missing, the ethernet port went bad, and if you try to run more than two applications at a time, you’re screwed. Once in a while the hard drive will just run, and run, and run, and you’ll have to go sweep the kitchen floor or something because it’s just gonna run and run and run for 5-10 minutes.
Since I’m doing so much videoing of the horses I’m training and I’m in charge of my own website (the marketing department here is great! ha ha!) I really needed something that has a bigger hard drive, a lot of memory and something that will enable me to transfer video from my camera to the computer and then burn to DVD should I choose to do so! I’ve been using my dad’s computer which is great, but it limits what I can put on my website and his computer isn’t mine.
The computer wasn’t supposed to ship until l2/27 and my dad called today (we purchased it under his employee purchase program) and said it was on its way to me.
