Lucky Me!

January 12, 2009 by Shauna 12 Comments

Ranch Diva Rachel said yesterday, in a comment about my furry babies, that I am blessed. And honestly I am. Sometimes I just have no idea how blessed I am. Sometimes I take it for granted. Sometimes I relish in it. Today is the latter. I’m relishing in Zach’s love for me!

The fact that it matters not if I leave the dishes undone, or even bother to do them.
That it matters not, if I leave my socks in the floor.
That sometimes I don’t get up and do chores.
That I lay in bed sometimes until 9 (gasp!).
That I don’t make the morning coffee.
That I don’t always clean up my messes.
That then I freak out when the house gets a bit untidy. And then he tells me not to fret- things will get done when they get done.
That when there’s time for things less important like a spotless house we’ll clean. Rainy/snowy/cold days are good for catching up.
That it’s ok that there are things I’d rather do like ride horses, play with weanlings, cake cows, or even clean tack. Oh wait, Ty and JuJu do that!
That he eats what I cook.
That I don’t have to do laundry.
That he’ll help me fold it.
That responsibility is shared.
That he loves me despite political differences.
That he doesn’t dump life decisions on me.
That we decide together how things will work. How things get done.
That we have the world by the tail- and we can pull together.
That I’m in a place where I’m finally allowed to be me. And be the best that I can be. And be who I am.
That I finally have a cheerleader as loud as my parents.
That for the first time in my adult life, I feel like I am healthy enough emotionally, financially and physically to be as successful as I can truly be.

So I am blessed.
Thanks, Zach!

I’m proud of you and happy for you both. But (and no offense, Zach), remember that Zach is only one half of your success and happiness. YOU have done this and reached this point – with him at your side. You took the chances; you left family and friends. You found your own happiness and went after it. Just giving credit where credit is due. ;o)

You are blessed… I cannot keep horses at my apartment! But it looks like I may have some turnout space in the school barn soon!!!!!!!!!

And Zach should make the morning coffee. It says so in the Bible… “HeBrews”. =]

Yes you are blessed! Zach’s a keeper! I’m blessed with my very own Zach too, so wonderful! My list is alittle different, but he supports me and my horse addiction!

Zach sounds like my hubby! There are days that I just don’t get anything done, and I am too grateful for a guy who doesn’t breathe down my neck and say, “Woman, you clean now!!”

It’s nice to have a man spoil us!!

And thanks for stopping by my blog and for the tips for Peanut. I have been treating him for ulcers, and our vet does a killer job with teeth floating. He wears a light on his head and gets all the points off. He even lets me take pictures of it all!! He must think I am weird!! Thanks for the tips!!
