Now What?

June 8, 2007 by Shauna 1 Comment

So now that I’ve decided I’m leaving corporate America, I’ll be training and riding and teaching horses and kids full time.

It’s scary, because now my income will be weather dependent, and economy dependent, as people have to have discretionary income to pay for horse training and riding lessons. What I do have going for me is that the horse industry is like the third largest industry in the US in terms of GDP. Bet you didn’t know that? It’s an insane amount of money spent annually in the horse business. But if you think about the horse races, rodeos, horse shows, breed registries, back-yard owners, and all the crops of feed and hay that must be grown, as well as all the other businesses that provide accessories for horse folks, well it’s pretty easy to see how it can be huge!

The other thing that is good news is that I have an amazing support group of people that will pray for me and be referral warriors, or at least I like to think that. I believe that if you want something and you work hard enough, that even if you fail at that, you have to give it your best shot, and that’s saying something about who you are.

Spread the Love!
