In the report above there are all sorts of people up in arms about McDonalds marketing to little kids and adding to the obesity of the culture.
Duh. Kids are a market. Fast food is bad for you. Can parents say, “No”? Can parents educate their kids on how fast food is bad, and while it’s fun you shouldn’t eat there often. My mother managed to do that with me.
This is just another step in additional governmental controls on our life and the free market. It really irks me.

The whole marketing to kids thing truly is amazing! Everytime we drive by the golden arches E starts hollering…even he can understand what it is! And I find P&J repeating back commercials to me. Or we will be in the grocery store and J will say…”Mommy you have to get this because it cleans your floors better” or “Mommy this is the best tasting cereal” etc. But it is absolutely the parent’s responsibility…not the government’s. The problem is not with the marketing, it’s with parents not wanting to tell their kids “no” and heaven-forbid they don’t get their kids a Happy Meal!
