Update: We made the $50,000 goal!
________________________________________________
I thought I’d take a moment to update everyone on the progress of the Rancher Relief Fund!
And I need to share the website with you – it’s the one stop shop for all things related to this project! And we’ve added a calendar of events so you can keep up with where we will be raising funds and what not. There’s good stuff in the works.
A friend of mine from Texas contacted me last night and wanted information about who she needed to contact to donate a breeding to her stallion. I love that there’s folks from all over willing to help. I believe we are taking stallion donations until Nov 5, at Noon, and then the auction begins and runs through Nov. 19th.
Last night, thanks to Tyson Foods and the Ag Chat Foundation, we raised $10 for every tweet that went out using the hashtag #rancherrelief.
We trended on Twitter!
My internet couldn’t keep up!

The sale barn in Mobridge, SD held a rollover auction last week to raise money for the RRF. They have raised almost 23k and are having another rollover auction today!
In the meantime, it’s been raining on and off. We did get some cow work done this weekend, but this weather is putting a kink in a lot of plans! I should have some photos (from the absolutely gorgeous Saturday evening, up soon!)
Thank you so much for all of your love and support and notes and donations. It makes my broken heart happy.
Happy Trails!
PS. As an aside, I am interested in accepting written pieces from ranchers affected by Atlas who wish to tell their stories. Please contact me if you’re interested.
