We sorted our first calf and replacement heifers off last weekend. The morning started out like any other cold, winter morning — a bit overcast, but I’ll be danged if the sun didn’t come out to visit and turn the day into something spectacular.
It was a pretty easy job to trail the girls home, so I was able to drive the ATV and take photos of the work. That rarely happens, so to say I was excited is an understatement! I hope you enjoy these as much as me!

A herd marker.
This particular crossbred cow produces some of the nicest calves. They’re almost always as big as her when shipping season comes.
The girls were in and out of the corral in a few short hours, handled with smiles, a little mud, and a lot of love.
Happy Trails!
