As I was laying in the tanning bed this morning (bad for you, I know- but you try riding 5-8 head a day and see if you don’t get some FUNKY tan lines) I heard this song by Trace Adkins. It really meant something to me, as for one, my mom used to tell me the same thing, and for two, I’m having a moment in my life where I want it all now, and I should be enjoying what I do have; not worrying about what I don’t have as these are the times in our life when our character is challenged, we can grow and change and we can learn at the same time. Eventually I’ll have the things I *want* or think I *need* but I should focus on living in the moment. This moment. As it’s sweet.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I’ve got 600 lbs of horse feed to unload and 10 head to feed. And I want Manuel to be here to help; but I don’t have him yet, so I’ll enjoy the fact that I’ve got feed to unload, the money to buy it and horses to feed it to.
