A Gordman’s Giveaway for a New Year!

January 28, 2015 by ~The South Dakota Cowgirl~

2015 is in full swing, like it or not, and while I may not be someone who makes resolutions, I do like to start fresh, and take time to “reset”.

HomeDecor_286x712In 2015 — I will be getting to style and dress up some bunkhouses on the ranch that have been a long time coming.  I don’t know about you, but I am constantly rearranging my furniture in my current home, trading out throw pillows and throws for a different look. Confession: I do the same thing with cosmetics.

So since it’s a “New Year”, what are you doing to improve yourself or your home?  Are you adding new decor? New must-haves in your wardrobe?  If you’re like me, and you love change- I am here to help!

Gordmans and I have partnered and we are ready to jumpstart your “new look”! If you’ve never been to a Gordman’s you’re missing out — they have great fashion and home decor, at prices that won’t break the bank!   You can find everything from candles to rugs, to pillows, to throws, to lamps and wall art — the possibilities are endless!

I’m going to give away a $25 Gordman’s gift card to one lucky commenter that tells me what they’re ready to change in 2015. You can enter as many times as you like, (before Sunday at midnight) and you’ll get an extra entry if you mention how much you love to shop Gordmans!

And to make life even better, I’m including a 20% off coupon.  Hello, New Year! Hello, Shopping!

March 15, 2015 Coupon (1)

Don’t forget to follow Gordman’s Pinterest boards. They’re sure to inspire!  Trust me, I’ve already done the stalking for you!

About ~The South Dakota Cowgirl~

Jenn Zeller is the creative mind and boss lady behind The South Dakota Cowgirl. She is an aspiring horsewoman, photographer, brilliant social media strategist and lover of all things western.

After a brief career in the investment world to support her horse habit (and satisfy her mother, who told her she had to have a “real” job after graduating college), she finally took the leap and stepped away from a regular income; trading the business suit once and for all for cowgirl boots, a hat, and jeans. She has not looked back.

When Jenn first moved to The DX Ranch on the South Dakota plains, she never imagined she’d find herself behind a camera lens capturing an authentic perspective of ranching, and sharing it with others. Jenn has always been called to artistry, and uses music, writing, images, home improvement, and her first true love of horses to express her ranching passion.

Horses are the constant thread and much of her work centers around using her unique style of writing to share her horsemanship journey with others in publications such as CavvySavvy, the AQHA Ranching Blog, the West River Eagle, the family ranch website, and her own website.

Using photography to illustrate her stories has created other opportunities -- Jenn’s brand “The South Dakota Cowgirl” has grown to the level of social media “Influencer”. This notoriety has led to work with Duluth Trading Company, Budweiser, Wyoming Tourism, Vice, Circle Z Ranch and Art of the Cowgirl, to name a few. She also serves as a brand ambassador for Woodchuck USA, Arenus Equine Health, Triple Crown Feed and Just Strong fitness apparel. Her photography has been featured by Instagram, Apple, TIME Magazine, The Huffington Post, and Oprah Magazine. Jenn’s work has been published internationally, has been seen in several books and has graced the covers of several magazines.

Jenn became a social media influencer by accident when she started to explore Instagram as a way to share her life on the ranch with folks that don’t get to experience it. It’s grown into an incredible platform that she uses to empower women, create an environment for self improvement and share life on the ranch.

When she’s not working, she loves to drink coffee, play with her naughty border collie named Copper, start ranch colts, and run about the country chasing cans. Her mother still thinks she doesn’t have a “real” job.

Give your horse or dog, or cat the gift of mobility.

I am working on snacking healthier. I have no problem eating healthy meals but I tend to go for junk food for snacks so I am working on going for fruit or something healthier instead.

No resolutions here as I never stay on track. I have, however pitched anything sugar! I have filled my house with fresh veggies and fruits, eggs and cheese. Eating smaller portion of meat, chicken and fish. So far it is working.
This weekend it will be cold and I am doing spring cleaning early so when weather nice that will be finished. The big thing I am doing it getting a little “shed” this spring which I will use as an outdoor living area. Small, but usable and a place to park gardening stuff too. I am having fun decorating it in my head! Excited to see how it all morphs out…Small and Simple- just a little shed to enjoy spring, summer and fall.

I am going to pull carpet up in my guest room (wish me luck and say a prayer) and redo my master bath. It’s a closet with the most shallow tub I have ever seen! I can’t replace the tub yet but I can put down new tile and paint…I NEED some stuff from Gordman’s!

I’m ready to change it all: my diet, my activities (need to get more active), and my appearance (new clothes, new hair style/color). I turned 50 last year and need to do whatever I can to slow down this aging process.
