A Pulleez Giveaway!

December 12, 2016 by ~The South Dakota Cowgirl~ 2 Comments

Pulleez giveaway, the south dakota cowgirlIt’s a small world after all, dontchaknow? Instagram has placed some amazing people and some amazing opportunities in my life. “Meeting” the founder of these amazing hair Pulleez was no exception. I love them so much I’ve decided to give some away, so that you too can share in the great, damage-less hair accessories. Plus, they’re really cute!

I decided many years ago I’d grow my hair back out so I’ve been wearing a lot of pony tails and braids. I have super fine hair, and frankly, it’s always a tangled mess. If you look at it wrong, it tangles. Seriously. I do not jest.

It’s especially a pain when I’m working with horses/cattle – outside – in the South Dakota Wind.

The wind in these parts is blowing more often than not, so keeping my hair pulled back is a necessity (recall the tangles above). There are many days when I think the idea of chopping it off is just grand, but stick a Pulleez in my hand, and I’ll change my mind quickly!  The best part is that they come out of my hair, are adjusted easily, and they never take my hair with them when they go!

Confession: I also absolutely hate to brush my hair. My mother will attest to this, and that is probably why she gave me a pixie cut when I was six. Because I didn’t want to brush it, and I have a super tender head so I didn’t like her brushing it either. I comb it out in the shower while it’s conditioned. Otherwise, well….

Obviously, finding a product like Pulleez that didn’t turn my hair into a giant, knotted ball was perfect timing.  I was skeptical at first, given that literally everything else I’ve used rats up my hair.  But after a week of using Pulleez while running around the ranch, and going to barrel races, had me sold!

They are also doing good for the community by donating 50% of the proceeds of each Paw Pulleez sold to ASPCA.

Diana, the founder of this company has graciously provided six of these goodies  for me to give away! Two are black with silver cowboy boots,  two are brown with gold cowboy boots, and two have little puppy paws!  You should check out all the fun designs! You’ll find something to excite!

In honor of this lucky find, I’m passing the good vibes to you! If you don’t want to risk not winning one, you can go to their site and use the code “SDCOWGIRL” during checkout to receive 15% off your entire order. This code is good for the following month!  These were perfect for this cowgirl, so I’m sure they’ll be perfect for the cowgirl in your life!

To enter, follow the instructions below! You can go follow them on Twitter, and Instagram, like them on Facebook, and of course share the post, baby!

About ~The South Dakota Cowgirl~

Jenn Zeller is the creative mind and boss lady behind The South Dakota Cowgirl. She is an aspiring horsewoman, photographer, brilliant social media strategist and lover of all things western.

After a brief career in the investment world to support her horse habit (and satisfy her mother, who told her she had to have a “real” job after graduating college), she finally took the leap and stepped away from a regular income; trading the business suit once and for all for cowgirl boots, a hat, and jeans. She has not looked back.

When Jenn first moved to The DX Ranch on the South Dakota plains, she never imagined she’d find herself behind a camera lens capturing an authentic perspective of ranching, and sharing it with others. Jenn has always been called to artistry, and uses music, writing, images, home improvement, and her first true love of horses to express her ranching passion.

Horses are the constant thread and much of her work centers around using her unique style of writing to share her horsemanship journey with others in publications such as CavvySavvy, the AQHA Ranching Blog, the West River Eagle, the family ranch website, and her own website.

Using photography to illustrate her stories has created other opportunities -- Jenn’s brand “The South Dakota Cowgirl” has grown to the level of social media “Influencer”. This notoriety has led to work with Duluth Trading Company, Budweiser, Wyoming Tourism, Vice, Circle Z Ranch and Art of the Cowgirl, to name a few. She also serves as a brand ambassador for Woodchuck USA, Arenus Equine Health, Triple Crown Feed and Just Strong fitness apparel. Her photography has been featured by Instagram, Apple, TIME Magazine, The Huffington Post, and Oprah Magazine. Jenn’s work has been published internationally, has been seen in several books and has graced the covers of several magazines.

Jenn became a social media influencer by accident when she started to explore Instagram as a way to share her life on the ranch with folks that don’t get to experience it. It’s grown into an incredible platform that she uses to empower women, create an environment for self improvement and share life on the ranch.

When she’s not working, she loves to drink coffee, play with her naughty border collie named Copper, start ranch colts, and run about the country chasing cans. Her mother still thinks she doesn’t have a “real” job.
