Confession 139.8

February 15, 2013 by ~The South Dakota Cowgirl~ 8 Comments

Well, I’m under 140!

I can feel myself starting to thin down, though my pants are still fitting tighter than I’d like. My hips currently measure 41″ and that explains a lot. They should be no larger than a 34 in my opinion! So I’ve got my work cut out for me! I skipped my workout on Monday and Wednesday (because I spent that day freezing while we preg tested cows for the neighbor). I will work out this morning, and maybe even go for a ski since it’s currently snowing! Saturday and Sunday I’ll be out of town, but I will find time to do so some mountain climbers, squats, pushups, bicycle crunches and jumping jacks and I may even hit the treadmill for some sprints!

Here’s a look at the numbers so far:

Fat = 38.3% (down from 39.4% last week)
Visceral Fat = 6% (no change)
BMI = 26.2 (no change)
Muscle = 26.6% | 25.9% last week.

Measurements:
Bust 38″
Chest 34″
Waist 32″
Hips 42.5″
Upper arm 12″.

How is your weight loss journey going? Don’t forget that #strongisthenewsexy and together we can do this!

Happy Trails!

About ~The South Dakota Cowgirl~

Jenn Zeller is the creative mind and boss lady behind The South Dakota Cowgirl. She is an aspiring horsewoman, photographer, brilliant social media strategist and lover of all things western.

After a brief career in the investment world to support her horse habit (and satisfy her mother, who told her she had to have a “real” job after graduating college), she finally took the leap and stepped away from a regular income; trading the business suit once and for all for cowgirl boots, a hat, and jeans. She has not looked back.

When Jenn first moved to The DX Ranch on the South Dakota plains, she never imagined she’d find herself behind a camera lens capturing an authentic perspective of ranching, and sharing it with others. Jenn has always been called to artistry, and uses music, writing, images, home improvement, and her first true love of horses to express her ranching passion.

Horses are the constant thread and much of her work centers around using her unique style of writing to share her horsemanship journey with others in publications such as CavvySavvy, the AQHA Ranching Blog, the West River Eagle, the family ranch website, and her own website.

Using photography to illustrate her stories has created other opportunities -- Jenn’s brand “The South Dakota Cowgirl” has grown to the level of social media “Influencer”. This notoriety has led to work with Duluth Trading Company, Budweiser, Wyoming Tourism, Vice, Circle Z Ranch and Art of the Cowgirl, to name a few. She also serves as a brand ambassador for Woodchuck USA, Arenus Equine Health, Triple Crown Feed and Just Strong fitness apparel. Her photography has been featured by Instagram, Apple, TIME Magazine, The Huffington Post, and Oprah Magazine. Jenn’s work has been published internationally, has been seen in several books and has graced the covers of several magazines.

Jenn became a social media influencer by accident when she started to explore Instagram as a way to share her life on the ranch with folks that don’t get to experience it. It’s grown into an incredible platform that she uses to empower women, create an environment for self improvement and share life on the ranch.

When she’s not working, she loves to drink coffee, play with her naughty border collie named Copper, start ranch colts, and run about the country chasing cans. Her mother still thinks she doesn’t have a “real” job.

Give your horse or dog, or cat the gift of mobility.

    You’re rockin’ it, girl! My weight loss journey is waylaid right now — travel, Valentine’s Day, and now another conference this weekend means that working out is hard to find time for and food is a little more desirable than normal. Oy. At least when you were preg checking cows you had a “real” excuse, where mine is just a will-power and time thing.

    Next week, it’s back to the grindstone for me. Keep up the GREAT WORK!

    Thanks, Kelly for the kind words! I really should be doing more to lose this faster! I think when spring gets here it’ll be easier! You can do it even when you travel- it just takes way more will-power!

    Congratulations!! I’m thrilled for you — you’ve been working hard! I haven’t gotten near the scale yet today but overall had an okay week — considering all the Valentines chocolate!
    Happy Friday!

    Woo hoo, Jenn! I admit that the last week for me has been one spent “off the wagon.” It’s a good reminder to see your progress – I need to jump back on board!
