Wrapping, The Second Best Part of the Gift

December 16, 2008 by Shauna 8 Comments

I love wrapping presents. LOVE IT! LOVE IT! LOVE IT!

It’s one of my venues for creative output and since I am half-artist, but too busy to draw or paint, it’s one of the times of year when I can let my creative juices flow, if you will.

This year, I am making gift tags from the paper and I opted for a muted, palette of colors for wrapping paper under the tree (I’m kind of a theme freak!)well I say that, and I had to buy some red bandana colored paper, which I’ll take photos of later, but for now, we’ll start with paisely colored reindeer paper like this:

Cut out a cute reindeer like this:

Lay it on top of some card-stock and glue it down; then cut around both:

Add some rafia and this is what you get:

Spread the Love!

Thats a really cute and easy idea, especially when you have left over paper. Never thought of it!

Thanks for stopping by my home tour! I too love to wrap presents and have ever since I was a little girl. My mom even used to let me wrap my own presents when I was young. (with her supervision). You’ve got some great wrapping ideas!
