These are in no particular order, but these are some of the little things in life in which I find joy:
1. freshly washed sheets.
2. line-dried clothes.
3. sleeping with the windows open on cool, South Dakota nights, while crickets chirp and bull-frogs croon.
4. sunsets on the prairie.
5. being able to see for miles.
6. my guitar.
7. a muddy mud room. that means we have had rain!
8. a freshly mowed lawn.
9. fresh cut hay.
10. watching calves buck and jump and play chase across the pasture.
What are some things that give you joy in life?
Happy Trails!
Love all of those..enjoy all my friends…Riding…my Grandkids…my children…having my Dad with me…
Smell of the mountain woods. My lab pup Gus ramblin’ across the field with his ears flapping. Chickadees. A windy fall day. And especially having lunch with my grown son.
I concur, I love all of the above! Especially the wide open spaces and the sounds……crickets, frogs, birds, distant coyotes howling, the odd cow calling for her calf. So much better than the sounds of honking horns and sirens…..can you tell I just came from a trip to the city?!?!
Love them all!
