I have tried several times to get some video of my horse riding around in his two-rein rig, but truth be told, every time I get the camera out, what felt beautiful, then feels contrived and not-so-pretty. Or in other words, we fall apart. The hardest thing about this transition, at least for me has been handling my reins. After watching Martin Black for about the 300th time, I may have finally understood exactly what he’s trying to explain here!
Due to my intent studying of what he’s doing with his hands while holding the two-rein, I’ve been able to come up with this short video of our progress. This feels pretty great. Dino got lost a couple times, but as my feel and timing improve, those moments will fade into the sunset like the ending to a bad movie.
