A 2015 Giveaway

November 9, 2014 by ~The South Dakota Cowgirl~

It’s that time of year again!

Time for the 2015 Calendar to start showing up in a mailbox near you – that is, assuming you purchased one (or three)! I opted for a different printer than I have used the past two years – the paper quality is much better, and they turned out beautifully.

Again, I can ship internationally, or domestically. And as usual, I’ll sign an image in each calendar.

Mare and Foal 2015, SDC Calendar, SDC Photography, south dakota cowgirl photography

But, because I’m fun, and it’s been ages since we’ve given anything away, and because it’s been dead around here lately (does anyone even visit here anymore?), I’m gonna give a couple of these calendars away!

I’m going to give one away here – based on the comments. Comment, and you’re entered. You can comment as many times as you like, and my program will randomly select a winner!

I’ll also give away one on twitter! I’d love to create some “buzz” so tweet about the ranch, this blog, photos, and calendar this week using the hashtag #sdc2015calendar to be entered to win!

The contest starts now, and ends Friday at noon, CST.

And incase you case you don’t want to risk NOT winning one, you can purchase yours here.

Happy trails and good luck!

Spread the Love!

About ~The South Dakota Cowgirl~

Jenn Zeller is the creative mind and boss lady behind The South Dakota Cowgirl. She is an aspiring horsewoman, photographer, brilliant social media strategist and lover of all things western.

After a brief career in the investment world to support her horse habit (and satisfy her mother, who told her she had to have a “real” job after graduating college), she finally took the leap and stepped away from a regular income; trading the business suit once and for all for cowgirl boots, a hat, and jeans. She has not looked back.

When Jenn first moved to The DX Ranch on the South Dakota plains, she never imagined she’d find herself behind a camera lens capturing an authentic perspective of ranching, and sharing it with others. Jenn has always been called to artistry, and uses music, writing, images, home improvement, and her first true love of horses to express her ranching passion.

Horses are the constant thread and much of her work centers around using her unique style of writing to share her horsemanship journey with others in publications such as CavvySavvy, the AQHA Ranching Blog, the West River Eagle, the family ranch website, and her own website.

Using photography to illustrate her stories has created other opportunities -- Jenn’s brand “The South Dakota Cowgirl” has grown to the level of social media “Influencer”. This notoriety has led to work with Duluth Trading Company, Budweiser, Wyoming Tourism, Vice, Circle Z Ranch and Art of the Cowgirl, to name a few. She also serves as a brand ambassador for Woodchuck USA, Arenus Equine Health, Triple Crown Feed and Just Strong fitness apparel. Her photography has been featured by Instagram, Apple, TIME Magazine, The Huffington Post, and Oprah Magazine. Jenn’s work has been published internationally, has been seen in several books and has graced the covers of several magazines.

Jenn became a social media influencer by accident when she started to explore Instagram as a way to share her life on the ranch with folks that don’t get to experience it. It’s grown into an incredible platform that she uses to empower women, create an environment for self improvement and share life on the ranch.

When she’s not working, she loves to drink coffee, play with her naughty border collie named Copper, start ranch colts, and run about the country chasing cans. Her mother still thinks she doesn’t have a “real” job.

Give your horse or dog, or cat the gift of mobility.

Always have loved your captures of the South Dakota prairies and how your ranch life fills those prairies so well. A calender hanging in my kitchen would be just the ticket for this South Dakota raised old girl. 😉

So thankful we were able to get all of our cattle home yesterday before the bad weather hits and everything went pretty smooth, except for the flat tire on horse trailer coming back from the far north pasture (pasture we rent from my brother who farms near Cresbard). The experienced cows are so smart. After we push em out the gate, they for home. Preg checking on Friday. Keeping my fingers crossed for 0% open. Oh, and really happy for my cousin, Bart Ness, who did awesome in team roping! And a huge THANK YOU to all veterans for everything they have done for the USA!

    Jen,
If it’s been dead around your house you can come on over. We have been busy. In the last week we have weaned calves at Cousin T’s and at our house and shipped a couple loads. We have also worked calves on both ranches, sorted and run cows through the chute.

We spent most of today getting ready for snow and cold temps.

It’s nowhere near dead. I’m barely holding my head above water. We have weaned calves to pull nose rings from and bring home this week and we may preg test if the weather holds. Plus we are in the midst of a massive building project and I haven’t been horseback in three weeks. Last week I made two trips- back to back to sturgis dropping horses off at the vet- one having teeth surgery the other is still there and they don’t know what is wrong with her.

This is my busiest time of year right now with craft fairs and calendar sales.

I’m not sure dead is how I’d describe things. Lol.
