Um. Vegas Update. That kinda quickie people. THAT kind!
So far I’ve been to all three Cowboy Christmas Expos- the Mandalay Bay, the Sands and the Las Vegas Convention Center. I’ve seen so much pink turquoise, I’ve decided I’m going to start making my own jewelry as the prices on that stuff are all over the map. All. Over. The. Map.
I’ve eaten at Steakhouse 46 here in the Flamingo where we are staying; Texas de Brazil (Zach’s first time) and a kick as Mexican food restaurant where they made 1. a lovely ‘rita and 2. the best chicken flautas ever. EVER.
I spent the 4th round watching the NFR at The Mirage (who by the way sponsors my friend’s husband, K.C. Jones) so we totally need to support them! We had a great time there, and we ate a Kokomos afterward.
Last night Zach and I went to the Dueling Piano Bar at Harrahs. It was a total blast. I have a picture that I’ll post later!
There are so many places to eat, I could spend weeks just eating at them all!
Today I’m headed over to the Venetian so I can do some window shopping at Versace, Gucci, Prada, et. al. Then I’ll go back to the Sands and probably do some more shopping.
You’d think for a girl that’s done nothing but shop for the last two days I’d have a lot of stuff bought. But really, notsomuch. I think I bought two new pairs of bell boots- the new designs from Classic Equine that you can’t get anywhere but here as of yet. I got some cute new Christmas ornaments for my Cowboy-Themed Tree and 3 new Saddle Pads bought. There are some way cute wall crosses to add to my collection and zebra-printed calf hides that I’m so gonna have to have for my couch!
Ok. I think I’ve typed enough. There are places to go, people to see, shops to do and breakfast to walk off!
Be sure to check out the Caesar’s Palace mall as well. Get a truffle or two from Vosges; to.die.for.!!
I want to see the boots but the link won’t work! And neither will the K.C. Jones link, but I’m glad you are having such a great time!
And man, I LOVE dueling piano bars! They are the best fun!
Thursday needs to hurry up! I cannot wait to shop. And get lots of stuff for HauteCowgirl.com!!!!
Oh it sounds like you are having a blast! You should have brought your leddys though, I agree they are soo soo comfy.
You need to post a picture of your Leddys! Every March at HLSR, I spend an hours in their booth just looking and wishful thinking. The sales guy remembered me as “the ag teacher” from the year before.
Darn it! I got all excited with the title–thought it was gonna be a good one…hahahaha! And yes, my mind always ends up there…
