My little colt has just gotten huge, guys. I think he’s going to make 16h or better. Eeek. That’s a lot for little ol’ 5-foot me! He’s just a coming 3yo (in May) and he’s not small by any means!
I think he’s doing just awesome!
Happy Trails!
PS – don’t forget that this is the LAST Week to order your 2014 calendars and have them for Christmas Presents!

Jenn, that was awesome he did a great job and so have you. Did you raise him from a colt? How old was he when you weaned & gelded him? I have a colt that is almost 7 months old, I am working on getting him to pick up his feet and lead.

Yes, Candy, I raised him. He is out of my mare, Streakin Iron (http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/streakin+iron0 by our stud, WDX Nukem (http://thedxranch.com/our-stallions/stallions/wdx-nukem/). I weaned him about 6 mos old. I had my niece and a ranch intern do most of the halter breaking when he was just a little guy. We trimmed his feet for the first time yesterday. Part of why he’s like he is is his breeding. Nuke makes gentle colts on even the snortiest mares. He is not gelded yet. He does have yellow (appendix papers) but I have high hopes for him, and if he’s not going to act study, I will see if I can’t maybe get him some points in the aqha so that we could get regular papers. I just adore him.
