I realized, tonight, as I walked through the market, that I’m not in the Holiday spirit. I’ve had too much *other* stuff going on in my life to think about the holidays.
Normally, by this time the Christmas Cards are ready to be mailed the day after Thanksgiving; I’ve already started shopping, and I’m deciding about doing a Cowboy Christmas Tree or a Winter Wonderland Themed Tree.
I feel so ambivalent, though at the same time, I really do not.
I just can’t get comfortable right now in life, since I’m too busy.
I hate shopping for gifts at the last minute; and I hate not being in the mood to decorate. I’m the have-the-house-fully-decorated-by-three-days-after-Thanksgiving-Day girl. The tree is up, the lights are up, the house has been completely transformed.
I’m not there this year.
I don’t like it.
