It’s Quilly in Here

August 5, 2009 by Shauna 3 Comments

My sister got here Saturday and she is pretty in to photography, so I’m going to post a lot of the photos she’s taken. When we got to the barn Sunday, this is what we found:

After a dose of sedative, and several pulls with a pair of needle-nose pliers, Max the resident kid horse, who belongs to Zach’s niece, Julissa, was saved.

Here’s what those things look like.

There’s really not much to ridding a horse of the quills. The hard part, if you’re an 11 year old girl, is waiting for the sedative to wear off so you can ride the pretty day away!

You should feed that porcupine some lead served at high velocity.

Holy Crap! I wouldn't think those two animals would even get near each other. That poor baby (horse). I feel so bad for her!
