I left the ranch on Saturday to head to Sheridan, Wyoming to pick a horse up for my friend in Colorado. I spent the night in Sheridan and grabbed a pretty, mouse-colored, buckskin horse on Sunday morning and was headed South to Colorado by 8:30am.
Along the way, both days, I did stop to take some photos with the big camera because let’s face it, the drive down I-90 to Sheridan is cloaked in beauty. And because you can see for miles and miles and miles where I live, and where I drove, when I got outside Faith, SD I could see thunderheads and knew I’d be driving into some rain.
And then there were these clouds in the Wyoming sky:
On the way in to Sheridan I snapped this photo and sent it to Instagram:
Sunday morning as I drove down I-25 to Longmont, I stopped several times and pulled out the fancy camera, which btw, needs a name but you’ll have to wait on those photos. So in the meantime these will have to suffice:
I am sure there will be more photos soon, and at some point I’ll see what I managed to capture on the big camera.
Happy Monday. May the mighty mountains warm your heart and soul.
These are just lovely SDC! I’m feelin’ the mighty mountains in your pics! I miss a good drive out west. I like all our trees here in the South, but there’s just something inspiring about being able to see for miles and miles and feeling so close to that gorgeous sky. Thanks for sharing! eg
Pretty pictures! I’m glad you had a good trip to Colorado and that you got to see Thea too!
