My Cowboy

September 17, 2009 by Shauna 4 Comments

It’s been crazy- fall is in the air which means that not only are they calling for cooler weather, but we get to help relatives and neighbors do their fall work through of their calves. A couple weeks ago it was the neighbor up the road, yesterday it was Zach’s Uncle Leo (who by the way is one of my very favorite people!). He found us an old wooden door to use as a headboard for our bed. I mentioned that I wanted one, and he was in a place where they had one, so he picked it up for us (that is not why he is one of my favorite people- but it does speak volumes about the kind of person he is). That will be one of my winter projects- stripping it, and painting it. I’ll be sure to take before, during and after photos as it evolves. In another couple week’s we’ll help Zach’s cousin, Sharon and her husband Jim, work their calves. That is always fun, because the pasture they’re in is something like 6000 acres big!

Anyway, I have a lot swirling around in my little blond brain lately, but I’m not making the time to write it down.

So I figured I’d just share a photo that I snapped this summer. It is by far one of my most favorite photos I’ve ever taken. It’s of the bestest man to ever set foot in my life- save for my daddy of course. He is honest, he is brilliant, he is kind and he’s selfless and of course, I think he’s really handsome!

Have a super Thursday! I plan to!

Spread the Love!

I love the idea about the old door as a head board and I can not wait to see it when it's done!!!

I remember when you took that picture. It is just beautiful and should be in SOME type of cowboy or farm magazine!

Wow. Farm life sure is busy, but I have a feeling I would just love it.
