Partner Up with Arenus Animal Health

partner up with arenus animal health

I’m incredibly blessed, and thrilled, to announce that I have been able to partner with Arenus Animal Health. They make equine supplements, magnetic/ceramic scrims and leg wraps for our equines, and products for humans, as well as our canine companions.

When I got Avie in 2012, I had no idea where the road would take us. We’ve had ups and downs and both of us have done a lot of learning.  He’s made incredible runs, through a lot of soreness, and we’ve been through countless saddles to find something that works for him.

We’re currently running in a Martin Crown C that’s a bit too wide through his withers, but it’s the only saddle I’ve found, other than my Chas Weldon Wade Tree Ranch Saddle that doesn’t cause him to fuss when I saddle him with it.  However it does still make him sore through his lower back and loin — though I’m convinced some of that is simply due to how hard this horse runs and turns and tries every time you throw a leg over him.

The feel-good stuff!

During the Mid-Summer rodeo run, I discovered an amazing product called Sore-No-More . It comes in both a liniment and gelotion form (I prefer the lotion in most cases). After our run at Mitchell I knew his back was sore, so I broke out my first bottle of the gelotion, slathered it on his back, covered him in a therapeutic scrim sheet and the next morning, where he’d previously flinched with pain, he was good to go. I. Was. Sold.

Since then I use it on him almost daily — after a hard workout, after competition runs, or anytime we use our barrel racing saddle. I love that the product is all-natural and is designed to be used with magnets or ceramic scrims. Anytime we can increase blood-flow, we can decrease inflammation and soreness in our equine partners. And that is a great thing, friends!

In order to properly celebrate this partnership, we are going to give away 5, count them, FIVE, Team Arenus Caps! I have a couple of these, and let me tell you, they’re so cute! I’m also going to provide you with a discount code that’s good for 5% off anything you’d like to purchase! And the discount code doesn’t expire! Use it again and again! I’ll also add the code to my website in a couple places so you can keep track of it!

Code:

So without further ado, go check out their site and tell me, what products would you use, do you use, or what are you most intrigued with?  Good Luck!

Spread the Love!

About ~The South Dakota Cowgirl~

Jenn Zeller is the creative mind and boss lady behind The South Dakota Cowgirl. She is an aspiring horsewoman, photographer, brilliant social media strategist and lover of all things western.

After a brief career in the investment world to support her horse habit (and satisfy her mother, who told her she had to have a “real” job after graduating college), she finally took the leap and stepped away from a regular income; trading the business suit once and for all for cowgirl boots, a hat, and jeans. She has not looked back.

When Jenn first moved to The DX Ranch on the South Dakota plains, she never imagined she’d find herself behind a camera lens capturing an authentic perspective of ranching, and sharing it with others. Jenn has always been called to artistry, and uses music, writing, images, home improvement, and her first true love of horses to express her ranching passion.

Horses are the constant thread and much of her work centers around using her unique style of writing to share her horsemanship journey with others in publications such as CavvySavvy, the AQHA Ranching Blog, the West River Eagle, the family ranch website, and her own website.

Using photography to illustrate her stories has created other opportunities -- Jenn’s brand “The South Dakota Cowgirl” has grown to the level of social media “Influencer”. This notoriety has led to work with Duluth Trading Company, Budweiser, Wyoming Tourism, Vice, Circle Z Ranch and Art of the Cowgirl, to name a few. She also serves as a brand ambassador for Woodchuck USA, Arenus Equine Health, Triple Crown Feed and Just Strong fitness apparel. Her photography has been featured by Instagram, Apple, TIME Magazine, The Huffington Post, and Oprah Magazine. Jenn’s work has been published internationally, has been seen in several books and has graced the covers of several magazines.

Jenn became a social media influencer by accident when she started to explore Instagram as a way to share her life on the ranch with folks that don’t get to experience it. It’s grown into an incredible platform that she uses to empower women, create an environment for self improvement and share life on the ranch.

When she’s not working, she loves to drink coffee, play with her naughty border collie named Copper, start ranch colts, and run about the country chasing cans. Her mother still thinks she doesn’t have a “real” job.

Give your horse or dog, or cat the gift of mobility.

I am interested in looking at some of their sore no more wraps or sheets and maybe trying some of those. I also am thinking about trying sore no more.

Jen-do you use any of their therapeutic sheets or wraps? How do they compare to a BOT or PHT product?

I haven’t ever used PHT – other than their horse hoodie, the stifle wrap and the hock wraps. I can’t say that the hock wraps or stifle wrap made a difference and Avie hated them anyway. I currently use the Benefab by Arenus Smart Scrim sheet and I LOVE IT! Your horse stays warm but doesn’t get too hot like they can in the BOT sheets. I have used BOT sheets for a couple years but you can’t use them in the summer because they’re too hot. This is perfect. Plus the added magnets are excellent. I don’t have any of the leg wraps yet so I can’t say how they compare to the BOT, but my guess is they’re going to be more breathable. The Sore-No-More Liniment and Gelotion are THE BEST! Seriously saving Avie’s sore back on many occasions. If I didn’t believe in the company and their products I wouldn’t have teamed up with them. If you’d like a discount, use my code, and shop on the Arenus website. If you try to order through the Benefab website my code doesn’t work. Thanks, Kelly!

I need to try their sore no more. I have gone through similar saddle/pad fit struggles with Fira. She has no withers… I’ve been through several saddle pads, had a saddle fitter come out, had a massage therapist come out, the chiropractor, etc. Fira doesn’t like being saddled and I think we need to try another saddle but I’m curious if the lininment would help.

Avie got sore last year through his withers, because I had him over-padded. I didn’t know that was possible, but when the saddle fits so good, and you add too much padding you can pinch them. What saddle are you using now?

Never heard of this brand! I am thinking I need to try some Sore No More Lintement and the Ani Motion feed supplement on my daughters goat tying and ranch horse.
