I see wildlife everyday while I’m here.
Here’s a shortlist:
Antelope, Whitetail deer, porcupines, two types of hawks, all different sorts of birds (pheasant, several types of grouse), prairie dogs, foxes, snakes, cottontail rabbits and jackrabbits. What I’ve yet to see is a badger. I can’t wait!
I’ve only seen them on TV and I don’t even recall seeing them in a zoo. I read (and am now re-reading) the book “Incident at Hawk’s Hill” (the Disney Movie). Someday I will get to see one and I’m sure I’ll report about it here.
Pound for pound a badger is supposed to be one of the strongest mammals, and they can out-dig a human.
They are also the state mascot of Wisconsin.
Enough Jeopardy for the day.
Ian (no point in hiding) says
Wolverines are better than badgers, but I’m a little biased
