Riddle Me This

October 8, 2008 by Shauna 7 Comments

Calling all Fashionistas!

I have to attend a wedding in St. Paul, MN this Friday. Strangely enough it will be warmer in St. Paul, than it will be here, in Eagle Butte, SD, but I digress.

The wedding is at 5:30 on Friday evening and I’m wondering what I should wear. I’ve got a velvet, Merlot colored cocktail dress that falls just to the knee that I can wear with some killer gold Constantaca Basto shoes, and then (Leslie!) I can pull out the rabbit. Ok, ok, not THAT rabbit girls (get your heads out of the gutter!); the rabbit stole, but again that rabbit is black and white.

I also have a really cute black and white Laundry by Shelli Segal dress that looks smokin’ with the rabbit, but I already wore it to one wedding this fall.

I could wear pants, I suppose too; or do we think that’s too casual. Oh, and as an aside (I’ve meant to blog about this for quite some time) up here, on the range, NO ONE, and I mean NO ONE dresses up for anything. Women wear jeans/capris to funerals and weddings. It’s, shall we say, a bit irritating. And I should add that those jeans are complete with a lovely pantie line in most cases. Seriously, have they not heard of a g-string? A t-back? Something by V.S?

And when I say pants, I mean, black slacks, or black dressy capris; either with heels or a pair of boots.

I hope I’ve given you all enough information.

Spread the Love!

Hmmmm. Let’s see. If the temp is going to be, let’s say, below, 45, I would wear the black pants. There is nothing wrong with wearing dress slacks to a wedding, but I would wear heels.

Other than that, I’m fashion smart, at ALL!

An after 5 Friday night wedding….I’d dress it up, show some leg, and take both rabbits with me.

I would skip the pants – weddings are chance to wear fun dresses! I say wear the velvet one. You could get a simple wrap for like $30 probably if you think the black and white one won’t work…

By the way, how warm will it be? It’s nice here today 60s, maybe near 70?), but I don’t know the forecast.

So excited you’ll be in MN!
