Running My (fat) Ass Off

October 31, 2008 by Shauna 6 Comments

And it’s not working. I can only get into three pairs of jeans right now. I don’t know what the deal is. I guess it’s only been two weeks since I started, and yesterday I was able to plan out a mile long route, across a fairly straight patch of pasture. Yeah, well that mile took me about 12 minutes to run/walk when I thought I was going to die.

So what is the deal? Do I need to spend more than 45 minutes per day running/walking? I can’t take it. I’m fat. I hate it. My ass is at least 1 size too big. Yeah, I’m bitching because I’m a size 5. Well I’m only on a 5ft tall frame. If I get any bigger I’ll be as big around as I am tall!

Help!

I’m even eating less, and not eating as late. I’ve done away with Ice Cream, eating very little if any bread. Supper is usually a salad of celery and cucumbers with feta cheese and a balsamic vinaigrette. I’m drinking plenty of water. I need a diet pill.

Help!

Have I asked for help enough yet?

Spread the Love!

Sucks to try and lose weight once you pass 30 — just wait till 40!!

You could try an olive (no pimento) and a crouton for lunch. For dinner, you could try the Kate Moss diet – hit of speed and a cigarette.

When you reach a certain age your body revolts. It first happens in your 30’s, and then again in your
40’s. It gets harder and harder and harder…did I say harder…to lose just 1 pound. Your metabolism slows down…in my case it stopped all together when I got pregnant with Dara. You will eventually see a difference, but it will be slower than it was 2 even 5 years ago. Just don’t stop.

Also coming from a person who used to wear a size 11-13 (preDara)…yes I once had a fairly nice build.

The thing is just don’t stop you, will start seeing a change. By the way girlfriend you really have nothing to worry about. You are still that petite thing I met last year.

Happiness makes you gain weight . . . I think there is like scientific proof of that somewhere.

However, running will also make it fall off. Eventually.

Like Dkatrip said, it takes a little longer as you get older . . . and you can best rely on the thought that it will take at least TWICE as long to lose as it did to gain.

That is the math of the fat cell.

Keep running, and you’ll soon get back to looking and feeling your old self!

Girl, I hear ya. I started working out again in June. I am now at 60 minutes on the elliptical and I do the resistance between 8 – 10. It tells me I burn around 600 calories. Then I do the double crunch machine with 10 pound weights. I do 60 of those. Then I do my arms. I swear, I look no different than I did before I started. I just don’t get it. And my clothes all fit the same. What the hell?

    Girl you are gorgeous.

Just do everything in moderation and promise me you’ll never – EVER resort to stretch pants.

    😉

    Love ya,
    Steve Flesher
