She’s Retired

September 2, 2008 by admin 2 Comments

I was without internet access all weekend, which will explain my absence.

Zach and I hauled horses out to Sturgis to visit the doctor out there. Sonora has been sore, and I wanted to get his opinion on her. She was a 2 of 5 lame in the back left- and her right hock wasn’t as sore, but that bone spur is likely still there.

After the examination, instead of injecting her to let her be a successful horse, as opposed to injecting a horse that is already successful, I decided to just ride her if I want to, and let her have babies. It was a hard decision, but I think it will be the best in the long run.

I hope everyone had a fun Labor Day.

It’s 47 degrees here this morning with a high of 63 for the day. I bet that Zero is freezing. I have good news about Shuttle, that I’ll post later.

Spread the Love!

Wow! Only 47 degrees there? It’s been very hot and humid here!

I’m not sure if you still read my blog, but I went to a PBR this past weekend in Nashville. I had never been to one and I have to tell you, it was very exciting! I was a nervous wreck though. I don’t know HOW none of those guys got kicked in the face or stepped on.

I’m sorry about the horse, but I’m sure you are making the right decision.
