Sushi, Vodka, and rain free for 24 hours!

July 3, 2007 by Shauna Leave a Comment

I realize that I blog in spurts. It’s because I do so as things are on my mind, and I have time. Often I have lots to say, and don’t have time, and sometimes I’ve got nada to say and have time. Lately, I’ve had lots to say and lots of time. It’s basically been raining non-stop over here for the last 2 weeks. Depressing. I don’t know how people in Seattle don’t fall into major Depressions. I’d need Prozac for sure if I were living up there. Sunshine is good for the soul.

Anyway, my husband and I went to eat Sushi the other night. It was my second time. The first time we went he ordered. This time, I was braver and a bit more savvy to what was going on. So we tried some Hamachi- which is a specific type of tuna, I believe. Let me just tell you, IT IS GLORIOUS! Before we started eating, however, I ordered, as I often do, a dirty martini. At this particular sushi bar, they call them Filthy Martinis, and they make them with their house vodka, called Monopolowa. Again, a new favorite. It’s about the same price as Skyy, but is much smoother- along the same lines as Ciroq smooth and Ciroq is my all time favorite, but it’s expensive so I don’t get it that often.

I finally get to get back to work this morning. I’ve got lessons at from 8 to 9:30am this morning. Then I can ride, ride, ride, until it gets too wet again, and there is more rain in the forecast. I’m trying to decide if I want to go to the barrel race tonight. I need to go that way to pick up some recently ordered meds for my horses but I won’t get home until 8pm or so, and that makes for a long day!

We’ll have to see how I feel after eating breakfast and drinking coffee and getting through my day!

Spread the Love!
