Hey, I’m Molly. I’m Jenn’s new intern, and since I’ll be doing some work around here, it’s fitting that I’m not a total stranger to you all.
Where I’m From
I’m an Illinois girl, born and raised. In a small town–just about 2,400 people–is where I’ve spent 17 years. It’s about 60 miles southwest of Chicago, and its name is Seneca. I spent two years at Joliet Junior College before transferring to finish my bachelor’s in Ag Leadership Education and a minor in Public Relations at the U of I.

How I Got There
I’m most often asked, “Your parents are farmers, right?” Nope. Both of my parents are basketball coaches and teachers. I grew up in a gym–literally was in utero while my mom coached. The connection to Ag came from my sister. A deep love of science and education brought my middle sister to an Intro to Ag course in high school. She quickly fell in love with everything about the industry and learning about food and its origins, as well as the National FFA Organization. Being the baby sister, I had to be in FFA and in Ag, and I soon found both to be the perfect “hands-on” blend of science and leadership.
Where I’m Going
My passions and dreams are as varied as they come–work in PR and digital strategy after graduation, spend time with my family and friends, travel and eat my way across the world, go skydiving, run a half marathon (hopefully by this spring!), and settle down somewhere along the way.
Feel free to follow me on social media to learn more about me and my crazy life. I’m an open book!

Welcome, Molly! I’m in the same boat- I work on a farm now and grew up as a city girl of sorts. We can always learn, right? 🙂 http://www.classiccountrygirl.com
