If you don’t know who Sam Baker is, don’t fret. If I hadn’t been in a Uhaul last week that had no CD player, ipod plugin or tape deck, and wasn’t forced to listen to NPR for about an hour on my trip I wouldn’t either. I should be ashamed though.
He’s a Texas singer/songwriter. His backstory is one of grace and healing and an obviously larger plan. You can read all about him here and I recommend you do so PRONTO. Plus you can listen to his new album for free at that link!
His music is sad, and mesmerizing, and paints a picture. He’s a master with imagery!
I’ve chosen three of my favorites for you in the form of YouTube Videos below.
“Waves”
“Angels”
“Say Grace”
What do you think of Sam Baker’s Music?
Happy Trails!

G’day Jen, thank you for bringing these musicians to our attention. I for sure wouldn’t have stumbled across them myself. Yes, Sam Baker is a brilliant wordsmith, but goodness, I’m not sure I could listen to a lot of his music. Bit too close to the bone & emotionally raw for me.
