It’s been a while since I’ve posted any video. Yesterday the saddle horses that Fridge lives with were close, so when I got done doing chores I drove over to see them. As per usual they wanted to be scratched on, so I took some video. Pardon the poor quality and the giggling. Horses make my heart sing.
Fridge and Rival are my ponies, in case you’ve forgotten.
Happy Trails!
Ohhh I love this in so many ways, Jenn! I love how happy they all are to see you (even if it’s only in part due to your “food lady” status,) I love how stinkin’ cute you are and I love the SNOW! Word on the street is that we’re getting a bunch of white stuff this weekend. Until then, I’ll live vicariously through you.
This particular bunch of horses doesn’t get fed, Jessy, so I’m technically not the food lady. I rarely go see them with oats or cow cake. They are just friendly because the breeding program here has made them that way! The horses that get fed are those that we ride/handle. Like Gumpy and Dino and Festus and Jack and Polmol. 🙂 Thanks for the compliments on how cute I am! made me blush!
I just found your site and I’m hooked!!! I live in Boston and I have always wanted to visit the Dakotas, I came across your site because I am doing a paper for school (college) on the life of a Idian Reservation. I am 1/2 Italian 1/2 Indian but because my motherand grand mother were born with out a birth certifacate it is hard to prove it. anyway I just thought I would write and say thanks for showing a positive side to life on a Reservation. Thank you Linda
Thanks, Linda! Let me know if you ever need people to interview! You should also visit: http://reservationlakota.com It’s not all rainbows and unicorns here; there’s a very high unemployment and the particular reservation I live on is home to one of the poorest counties in the US- Ziebach County. Take care. Stop by again!
