Some of you who follow me on Facebook and actually get notifications from my South Dakota Cowgirl Page, or who follow me on Instagram, have seen that my second (and last) colt for the year was born on June 13. This his how behind I am in in sharing my life. You have my apologies. His mother is named Dolce, which is Italian meaning Sweetly. It’s also a musical term so our niece decided that this colt needed a musically themed name, instead of sticking with the Avenger’s Theme from my earlier colt, Tony (DX Nuklear IronMan). She and my cowboy decided that we should call him generalissimo.
From wikipedia: The word “generalissimo” is an Italian term, from generale, plus the superlative suffix -issimo, itself from Latin -issimus,[1][2][3][4][5] meaning “utmost, to the highest grade”. In musical terms, there’s Pianissimo (softly), Fortissimo (loudly), and others.
Generally speaking, Issimio means More; so he’s simply more. We shall call him Issimo and I think he’s pretty dang adorable.
Don’t you think he’s pretty cute?
