This week on the ranch I handled some horses, finished all my assignments for the next installment of Dirt Road Daughters (coming to a mailbox near you in September- and the food is, well, mouthwatering as usual), and began getting things lined out and ready for my Buck Brannaman clinic next week. I took Gump and Dino to the vet to have blood drawn for a Coggins Test, Health Certificates, and got the paperwork started for their Permanent Brand Inspection Cards. A week from today, my SIL, niece and I will be in Colorado riding with Buck. My niece is going to ride Gump in the H1 class, and I’ll be riding Dino in H2. I have never been to, or seen an H2 class so this will be exciting, challenging, and altogether awesome!
Today, since it’s going to be 100 degrees for the 10 millionth time this summer, (Can we get some rain and cooler temperatures please? This drought we’re in is NO fun!) I will run this morning while it’s relatively cool outside, finish laundry, feed and water the horses that are on the “to get oats” list, and I’ll probably spend some time going through AQHA Paperwork. I think that job never ends! It’s probably time for me to submit the paperwork to get “Miss Bombshell” registered.
Speaking of Bombshell- isn’t she gorgeous?
And in case you missed it, I posted another photo of her on my Facebook Wall last night.
In the meantime, all of you have a killer Friday, and be sure to wear a smile. It’s the one thing you know will always make you more beautiful than you already are!
Happy Trails!
