True to what fall should be, the weather has turned colder. There was snow and rain spitting from the skies last night as the cowboy took me to dinner. You see, yesterday was my birthday, and it was so much fun.
I got some very cool old doors which I will use to make a booth for the upcoming craft fair, and since I will be doing one craft fair, I see several more, as well as art shows, in my future.
Speaking of Art Shows, I have some news on that front. I announced, yesterday evening, that I had some big news. In fact, the news might be bigger than big- at least if you’re me.
If you follow me on Facebook, you know that I’m a huge fan of Prairie Berry Winery. I love their wines, their location and the thought they put into every bottle. And their new location offers a restaurant, tasting bar and gallery space. Did I say gallery space? Why yes, I did.
Yours, truly has been offered the opportunity to do a show in their gallery for a month in April of 2013! I’ve chosen some amazing pieces to display and sell, and those of you that are in South Dakota and want to meet me, enjoy some wine, great food, and have fun, should mark your calendars, for March 29, 2013 from 3pm-5pm, as that is when I will be hosting an opening reception at the winery in Hill City, SD.
Also, some of you have mentioned that Facebook isn’t working like it used to. This is true. It’s not. They’ve broken it on purpose.

This has been going on for a while. While almost 3000 of you are fans on Facebook only about 500-600 of you are seeing my posts, unless I pay. It’s kind of disingenuous of Facebook to make me pay, so that you, who have liked the page to keep updated on the goings on, can see what’s going on. I realize that now that FB is public, their job is to make money. And to the tune of about 1M/day they’re doing just that, by forcing people, like me, who have fan pages, to pay so that all of you can keep up.
I’m not going to delete my Facebook page because I’ve worked too hard to get where I am. But I do have a new solution, and I think it’s a great one. I’m now offering a newsletter. I am not sure when and how often it will show up in your inbox, but it won’t be daily. I’m thinking more like weekly or bi-weekly (or as time permits). So if you’d like to make sure you never miss anything exciting, such as contests, coupons, or where I may be (and don’t forget I’m still working on the coffee table book, as well as a cook book), please enter your email address below to get exclusive content. If you don’t subscribe you won’t get coupons or offers that others may get. I’d sure like to send out invites to the gallery opening next year, and a mailing list is a great way to do just that.
