The Tractor

March 13, 2008 by admin 2 Comments

Yesterday I drove the tractor. It was the first time I’ve really done so by myself, completely unassisted. I needed to work up the ground in my arena, and I figured, I’m a big girl, the horses are my responsibility, the arena is my domain so why can’t I drive the tractor?

So I did. And while it made my back hurt (though everything makes my back hurt these days) it was pretty fun. I have to go back through the ground today and clean up some rough patches. Apparently I didn’t have it in 4wd, so I managed to nearly get it stuck several times in the deep ground. I will have to learn how to put it in 4wd.

Needless to say I’m pretty proud of myself. Maybe I can get someone to snap a photo of me in front of the pretty, green and yellow Deere.

Spread the Love!

You need a long, hot soak in the tub and nice, 60-minute back massage, kiddo.

Is there a lot of external visible bruising, or is it more of an internal, muscular / ligiture / bone kind of hurt?

Ask me tomorrow about how I almost destroyed one of Tarleton’s tractors…
